Poems about Life
The
Life Chant
CONCERNING
THE LIFE, THE LOVE, THE TRUST THE
RIGHT, THE HEIGHT, THE PAST THE
SIGHT, THE MIGHT, THE DUST THE
FLIGHT, THE FIGHT, THE MUST TO
UNDERSTAND, LIVE AND DIE THE
AFTER, WHAT TO DENY FOREVER
FULL OF TRAGEDIES? OUR
LIVES ARE MADE ON ALWAYS THESE? THE
END, THE CRIES, THE PAIN THE
SUN, THE GROUND, THE RAIN THE
MAN, THE WOMAN, THE CHAIN THE
TIES, THE BOUND, THE FAME THE
CHOICE, CONFUSION, THE RESULTS WITHIN
THE LOCKS AND VAULTS THE
RIGHT AND WRONG INSULTS THE
JURY FOUND IN COURTS THE
JUDGEMENT, PRISON, FREE ABOUNDS
IN YOU AND ME THE
GOD, HIS SON, THE ONE THIS
PEACE, THE LIFE OF MAN. -Pat- My
life My
life if like a whirlwind Would
spin and go around It
never takes direction But
only makes a sound And
if it's like a tree It
stands out in the sun But
if no water poured on me My
life would then be gone If
it is like a lake Enclosed
in my own reason Surrounded
like a man enclosed Held
himself imprisoned If
it is like the sea It
flows out everywhere The
places whether bad or good Still
is viewed that fair If
it is then a mountain And
climbers go to see My
life is like a show off then Of
every part of me But
I thanked my very God My
life is then compared But
still it hands the blessings pure Those
blessings he declared And
different life he gave Of
challenge and of pain My
God had made his promise true Is
victory I will gain. -Pat- Lazy
I
was a lazy person once But
now I'll never be I'll
work more harder day by day As
the sun goes out my way As
wisdom speaks in proverbs say To
work like Ants so wise They
are the ones whom God is pleased He
saw before His eyes If
I am then to lay and sleep And
take a full great rest The
sun and moon will pass that deep And
harder will my test And
longing for the food I'll eat I'll
never get to feed I
may just wish and starve to death Whoever
takes the greed. -Pat- Let
Him Shine on Us
One
day a beggar stood by the side A
man was asked, the man didn't mind And
just when the beggar got off from his feet He
fell down of hunger, not because of sleep One
day a woman suffered a disease She
suffered a cancer, a pain hard to ease The
nurse who took care, didn't just mind A
week then just passed, the woman had died One
day a man was so down and sad He
thought the day was awful and bad No
one shared to just talk with him And
later he died, took his life within If
we are aware that these things had happened We
question ourselves, is 'He' in us shining? To
even just share the love then for others But
we're too busy, for us no one matters That
if we are busy try to think twice That
someone there needs, the love in His eyes Because
whatever we do to the rest of them Is
reflected to shine, in HIM once again. -Pat- Next
Step When you’ll travel now Don’t
start to think That
goodbyes would end One
star to blink Nor
it could dry up seas And
waters in the land Wherein
nothing left Nor
moisture in the sand Sometimes
we hate to say Goodbye
and that’s all Our
missions and our goals Are
all in God’s control And
we can’t hold on to For
what our desires are for We
just have to let go And
step out of the door Our
endpoints may be near Or
sometimes could be far But
imagine not too much Much
farther than a star Don’t
cease to walk through Along
the road Shadows
seen beside May
lead you cold But
stay much warmer And
seek the light When
there’s a shadow A
light’s in sight Our
walk’s not boundless We
seek the truth It
all ends up with God Where
bears the fruit And
I’m not ending up To
have the journey with you We’ll
all walk together Only
God knew. -Pat- Everything
Changes A
grass withers, the flowers fall Ashes
to ashes, the last final call No
one is seen, standing out there Everything
changes, this world so unclear The
world each day changes, phases of time Wish
we all catch it, wish all were mine But
if it’s past late, time stood to take all Everything
changes, whether so big or small Everything
changes, reminds us once more Nothing
is left, no one can store More
than he could keep, once change arrives then When
everything changes, we know which of life’s end. -Pat-
Seeking the Truth Seeking the truth is like a tree Who
feels the touch with things to see That
grows its leaves and flowers bud With
trunk that grows, a branch to add To
face the sun and take the rain To
feel the pressure, feel the pain To
bear a fruit and give some more A
tree can have, a tree can store To
give a shade, a lighter side With
smoothness shown that can abide To
lift its branches into the sky A
sign to praise the one up high To
have a sacrificed way of living Much
more of giving than of receiving A
man who tries to seek the truth Is
like a tree that bears good fruit -Pat-
Dreams If
we try to reach our dreams today And
soar the skies we wish we’d stay There’s
nothing impossible we can do If
we believe our dreams come true Your
faith is not just worthless thing That
lies beneath you deep within It
helps you grow each day you smile With
a different look and a different style So
when you dream, today with faith Do
not lose hope your dreams are great In
little dreams and little wishes Though
big and small they break in pieces And
little by little they come together To
gather themselves in summer or winter And
this I believe we all will fly We’ll
soar our dream...we’ll reach the sky -Pat-
